Last weekend Kayla turned 3 and of course we had a large party to celebrate the event. Anything with our families turns into a large event very quickly.. so even keeping it to close family and very close friends we end up with nearly 40 people, but we love it! Kayla had a great time celebrating her birthday this year and she even somewhat like the group signing to her (last year she hid her head and nearly cried). She talked about her birthday all week and that morning was very excited to open our presents. Some of her favorite gifts included.. a sandbox and toys, a dora suitecase, kid friendly horseshoes, nemo bubble machine, books, Zingo, and many others... she also got a new bedding set for her big girl room from mom and dad, which probably wasn't the coolest present.. despite the cost :o) Overall her birthday was a great day and she really enjoyed having all of her friends and family over at one time. I still cannot believe that it has been three years since I gave birth to her. Now three years later she is a little girl who is soooooooo excited to be a big sister soon and is so smart and independent, how time flies and how quickly children change. My mother always told me that you cannot ever imagine loving something so much until you have a child, I now know what she means and only wish that she was here to share that with me. Well on that note I will end it for the night.

Happy birthday to Kayla! I'm glad she enjoyed her party. I love the pics of her using chopsticks! I'm not very good at them either! :-)
