What a Week

So as most of you know the swine flu is going around our area and it hit Kayla starting last Sunday... and definitely overstayed its welcome. Thankfully she is doing much better now (just a nagging cough), but she managed to miss a full week of school and put us into anti-germ mode to hopefully prevent me from getting it. My doctor prescribed Tamiflu for me to take since I am so high risk for getting the swine flu (of course I had my regular flu shot, but no swine flu shots were available yet).. and so far so good! It was a very stressful week and I hated to see my little beaner so sick, she did very good though. Friday was Chris' 30th Birthday and it was not celebrated at all like planned. I had planned a surprise party with some of his close friends and had to cancel since Kayla was still so sick and I didn't think anyone really wanted to come to our contaminated house :o) Hopefully we are on the path to recovery and close to being in the clear for Chris or I to get it.


Chris on his birthday... moved the cake far away from Kayla... see the bottle of bleach in the background!! We have been disinfecting everything!!
